Does it annoy you when people laugh on sitcoms?

You know how on a lot of shows, especially older ones, the "audience" in the background laughs when something funny happens? I find that really annoying, I mean, aren't we viewers intelligent enough to know what is funny and what isn't?

Normally I don't even notice the laughter but once in a while I will and it drives me crazy. When you think about it, it's really stupid to use it.

Half the time when sitcoms use the laugh track, the 'laugh trigger' isn't even funny. Even if the situation was funny, it almost instantly gets ruined.

Although I must admit that sometimes the tracks ARE kind of amusing in a ridiculous way when a few of them start loudly laughing...

Those stupid laugh tracks alone make ANY sitcom unwatchable to me. I don't care how good the show is, if it has that stupid laugh track, I'm not watching it.

So that's why I thought there were people hiding laughing in my house when I watched tv!!!!
