I was wondering...LGBT is put in the category "Society and Culture". Shouldn't it be under "Beauty and Style"?

I see what you did there! :) But I would put it forth to you that even beauty and style is subjective to the society and culture you belong to. As to a comment made by another answerer, I am gay and I am not offended by the question. There's no sin in having a bit of fun and the answers you got are quite informative.

If you look at a list of the people who have contributed to human culture -- people such as Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, Michaelangelo, Da Vinci, Tschaikovsky, Florence Nightengale..... you'll find a lot of LGBT people. I suppose you could say Wilde was interested in fashion...

Yeah dude you really put it in a wrong way. Lots of people will get offended to this. But I sort of get what you are trying to say. Thing is this isn't focused on the inside of a person and that "inner beauty". It's under society and culture for two reasons:

1. Is to tell people that LGBT is a part of the world and part of EVERY culture and society.

2. Is to help LGBT people to fit in with the society or at least help them live in it.
