Having a little trouble with what this pastor said need some help?

Having a little trouble here.

I was just told that there are 3 deities in the bible and that they all are God and go by various different names.

1)YHWH

2) The Spirit of YHWH

3) The Word of YHWH

A pastor told me that The Word is not YHWH, and YHWH is not the WORD, and YHWH is not the Spirit of YHWH but the Word and the Spirit are extensions of YHWH showing that there is one God but that he is spirit, and he does have a (decree).

The Word shot forth with the Spirit as soon as God spoke everything into existence because by The Word everything that is came to be, but by his spirit he was able to give life to all that exists.

My thing is if there is one God why say he's a trinity when the bible clearly states he isn't a trinity? He said by his own lips there is one God The Word and Spirit are extensions of his being. So why say there are 3 Gods in 1? Makes no sense

John 17:3says," This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God,and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ." Since God sent Jesus,He is clearly greater. The Holy Spirit is the force, much like the wind, that he uses to accomplish His will. You are correct,God is not a trinity.

    Chapter 1

14 And Elohim/Powers said, Let there be lights in

the expanse of the shamayim to divide the day from

the night; and let them be for signs, for the Moe’dim

(celebrations: Appointed times),2 and for days and

    years:

15 And let them be for lights in the expanse of the

shamayim to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

    16 And Elohim/Powers appointed3 and brought

forth two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,

and the lesser light to rule the night: He did the same

    with the stars also.

17 Elohim/Powers set them in the expanse of the

shamayim to give light on the earth,

18 And to rule over the day4 and over the night,

and to divide the light from the darkness: and

Elohim/Powers saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were Yom

    Ravee (Day four).

20 And Elohim/Powers said, Let the mayim abound

with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds

fly above the earth across the face of the expanse of

    the shamayim.

21 And Elohim/Powers created great sea

creatures, and every living thing that moves, with

which the mayim abounded, according to their kind,

and every winged bird according to it’s kind:5 and

Elohim/Powers saw that it was good.

22 And Elohim/Powers allotted an Increase for

them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the

mayim in the seas, and let birds multiply on the

earth. 23 So the evening and the morning were Yom

    Khamishee (Day five).

24 And Elohim/Powers said, Let the earth bring

forth the living creatures according to their kind,

cattle, and crawling things and beasts of the earth,

each according to their kind: and it was so.

25 And Elohim/Powers brought forth the beasts of

the earth according to their kind, cattle according to

their kind, and everything that crawls on the earth

according to their kind: and Elohim saw that it was

    good.

26 And Elohim/Powers said, Let Us 6 make

humans in Our images, according to Our likeness:7

Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,

over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all

the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls

    on the earth.

    27 And Elohim/Powers created ha’Ahdahm in their

own images,8 in the images of Elohim/Powers

created; male and female 9 created them

It is a great mystery, but just 'hang in there' because when we 'pass over' to the other side of life, Jesus will make it all clear to us all as we come 'face to face' with HIm.

I agree with you. Compare the old testament to the original - the Jewish TaNaKh and apply yourself. There's no hell or satan or lucifer, and demons are the world's no gods - imaginary gods.

A fool says in his there (in his heart? Is a) no god.

    Interesting no?

    Marketing.

The pagan faiths in the era had many types of Trinities, and to make the new approved faith of the Roman Empire palatable, the clerics fought and won against those who held that there was only ONE God. The Empire backed that choice, and any who did not agree were labelled heretics, and subject to execution by the ranking powers of the Church.

there is God the Father, Jesus which is also God , and the holy angels which are not God but ministering spirits. 1john 1 :1 word with God. word became flesh and dwelt among men and was rejected of men. tread it. Rev 1:1 read it. The name of Jesus is greater than the name yahweh there is no salvation in any other name but Jesus. don't listen to that preacher.

There is only one God: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The three in ONE make ONE God. For example, take three candles and unite the flames. Together all three flames make one LIGHT, one flame. Apply this analogy to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Understand?

He's trying to convey the trinity, but not a "usual" version of it.

It's all about interpretation, he's pulling conclusions that nobody else does.
