Why was my Yahoo Answers question deleted?

I literally asked this: "If I put "mal" in front of "joy", would that literally mean bad/ill joy?"

(Oh, feel free to answer my deleted question as well ;D ^)

But seriously, this is annoying me. Why was it deleted? What's so offensive about it>>

Update:

My question wasn't sarcasm. I desired knowledge!

Your question http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cac... was not a chat violation. It's a perfectly acceptable question and I would appeal that one in a shot..... assuming you did not add any additional text to the question to make it a violation of course.

Appeal using the link provided in the email you received and you should get it reinstated. If you don't hear anything back from Customer Care then appeal it using https://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?locale=en_...

Your question was deleted as a result of a chat violation. When you ask questions here, be sure they are always knowledge-worthy and advice-seeking. Remember Answers is solely an information exchange site and never a place to chat with other users, so it would be best if you did that elsewhere.

It may be the simple solicitation you added (answer my other one). That type of solicitation is frowned upon Yahoo does not want that added to every question and answer.
