Syria, The Gov is fighing radical Islamic fighters, Right or wrong?

Not getting clear answers on this situation. Dont sugar coat your answers, I would like to know.

The fighters some US officials want to support, is actually radical Islamic fighters. Fighters intent on over throw and installing the muslim brotherhood back in power?

    In Syria , Libya , Egypt , Yemen ... the gov. are fighting Terrorists who take islam as a cover ..

    since the arab spring rev. the whole arab world has been fighting and in total mess

    In syria there are 3 armies of Terrorists 95% of these armies are not syrians but pakistanies and afghanies also people from libya and sudan are fighting in there in the name of jihad which is not jihad at all ...

    they are not muslims .. islam is the religion of PEACE !

    This could potentially be a gigantic mistake, because this is how we got in trouble in Afghanistan years back. They were fighting the Soviets, and we hated the Soviets at the time, so we gave the Afghani's some stinger missiles and launchers and other arms. They gave it to the Soviets real good, kicked them back, then we ended our support. This caused fringe some Islamic elements to be able to take over in some areas, and voila, we lost a couple thousand soldiers there over the past ten years trying to straighten that mess out.

    You can bet that any faction that can load an AK-47 will be gunning for their own interests now.

    I hate the word "insurgents" when used to describe the locals who are trying to drive out Westerners who are there to Spread Democracy & Steal Oil. 'Insurgents' sounds like they are 'surging-in' from somewhere else, coming in here bringing their ways...
