Direct Sales Compensation Plans?

Hi there! I am an Independent Star Scentsy Consultant! Here are the answers for your scenarios:

#1 - If you are just starting out as an Escential Consultant you would get paid 20% from your personal sales which is $100. If you had already made your first $1,000 with the Company and are a Certified Consultant you would get paid 25% from your personal sales which is $125. You do not get paid on your frontline unless your entire team has total sales of $1,333.33. Your commission is either $100 or $125 depending on your level.

#2 - In this scenario you would be a Star Consultant. You would get paid 25% commission which is $300 + 4% on your wholesale sales which is $36 + 4% on your frontline wholesale sales which is $168. Your commission is $504.

#3 - In this scenario, it gets tricky because you could be at Director, Star Director or Super Star Directory and the bonuses vary for each. You also don't know what the rankings of your downline would be to be able to calculate their bonuses. I'll use the Director level for this scenario as there is no way to know if you would have other Directors under you and how many. You would get additional bonuses off of Directors under you should you advance to the highest leadership positions. You would get 25% commission which is $400 + 9% on your wholesale sales which is $108 + 9% on your frontline wholesale sales which is $1,755. Your total commission right now is $2,263. The ranking of your downline will determine the additional bonuses. You will get 7% of your Lead Consultant wholesale sales + 5% of your Star Consultant wholesales sales + 2% off your SuperStar Consultant wholesale sales + 3% off your frontline Directors' wholesale sales + 3% off your 1st Generation Directors' wholesale sales. To make it easy, let's say your entire team is made up of Lead Consultants so your additional bonus on them in this scenario would be 7% of wholesale sales which is $1,449. So in this scenario with many assumptions in place your total commision would be $3,712.

You should also note that if your personal sales are $2,000 or more in any month you get an extra 5% bonus which would automatically make your personal commission $600 + any other bonuses.

None of this can be achieved without you making $500 per month yourself. This is not illegal as someone here has stated. In fact, many accountants advise clients to start direct sales businesses.

Without knowing what the commission policy (which will vary from Company to Company) is for each of these levels for each of the Companies you named this question is unanswerable.
