I'm a guy. When I was about 12 to 15 my other guy "friend" about the same age drugged me, raped me and almost broke my neck. What help is ?

    Thats horrible, go to see a physcologist if its bothering you so much but next time leave a bit more information. Hope all goes well xx

    Be aware of the possibility of developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well. Flashbacks, nightmares, difficulty sleeping, and just staring blankly for long periods of time are some symptoms.

After EMDR therapy, discuss with your therapist the importance of SINCERE forgiveness, as a way of moving on with your life, otherwise you will still be holding onto those negative emotions, but you may well not be ready for this step for some time. Ordinary "talk therapy" is often unable to access the deeply seated emotions associated with memories of trauma, but EMDR therapy has proved effective.
