SURVEY: Have you ever gotten into a car crash because of texting?
Hi guys! So I have to do a project for my Stats class and I wanted to know if you've either gotten a ticket for texting while driving or have actually gotten into a collision because of texting/talking on the phone.
I live in California and it's against the law here to text and drive so we get tickets..I'm not sure if any other states have that same law but even if not I'd like to know if you have gotten into a collision. You don't have to give me any details lol but just if you've a) gotten a ticket or b) gotten into a collision or c) both.
Also, if you could state your gender and age that'd be great! That's all I need. Please and thank you for cooperating!!

No. I don't text and drive.
Seriously.
I had a friend die from texting and driving. Ran a stop sign, and was struck by semi. Body was crushed as well as the two passengers.

No, but one of the teachers at my school got into a collison because the lady behind him was using her phone and didnt see the red light so she rear ended him, he was in a cast for half of the school year and some of that time he was in a wheel chair. I'm 14 and a male but my teacher looks like he's in his 40s to 50s and he's a male

Louisiana has the same law.
I'm a 16 year old female and I have never gotten a ticket or been in an accident because of texting and driving though I have a bad habit of doing it.

No, but I've been in several near-crashes because OTHER drivers were on their phones. Never mind that it's illegal; practically EVERYONE in Oregon does it.
