Were lawmakers forward thinking when the EPA was formed by specificially not allowing the EPA to ban lead core ammunition?

the libs couldn't use the EPA to implement their anti gunner policy through lies and distortions on ammunition and the environment.

    It was not mentioned at all when it was formed.

    In fact, the idea of banning lead ammunition as an environmental hazard has only been around for ten years. The EPA was formed over 40 years ago.

    Elemental Lead is not very hazardous. You can swallow Lead fishing sinkers almost every day and have very low Lead in your body. It is Lead compounds that are a hazard.

    Gun nuts and the NRA had political clout back with EPA was formed, too.
