Does murder count as a bad thing if you kill a bad/evil person?

If you were to kill someone for self defense you'd still be arrested and have to prove your innocence in court. It's BS. I was held at knife point and cut by a neighbor high on drugs. I was able to get him on the floor and get the knife from him. When i had the knife I almost stabbed him due to fear, adrenaline and survival instincts. I didn't and thank god. The cops told me that if I had I'd have been arrested.

To some it would be a sin and to others it wouldn't be. Some people are consciences objectors to war and believe killing during war is a sin. Nobody knows what God thinks or if he's even real. Whether or not it's sin is a personal opinion

The only mitigating factor for murder (both morally and legally) is the necessity to prevent a life threatening situation when no other practical means are available. The fact of the person being bad or good is irrelevant, only if the person was doing or going to imminently do something bad enough to warrant their death as a means of stopping it.

In your hypothetical Hitler scenario, it would still be unjustifiable if you had other means to stop his rise to power. For example, if you could kidnap and incarcerate him, then to just kill him would be wrong.
