You don't need a college degree to be a personal trainer, but you do need to be certified by one of several sports fitness organizations. You can become certified in less than a year. Here's more info:

In addition to what Amaretta said, other fields you may be interested in looking into are coaching, PE teaching, athletic training, physical therapy, and sports medicine. You may also be interested in something like sports management.

The education needed varies by field. To be a PE teacher, you need a bachelors degree in physical education or similar. To be an athletic trainer, you'd need a bachelors in athletic training. If you wanted to be a physical therapy assistant, you'd need an associates in PTA. And etc.

This summer, I'd suggest you start talking to people who work in some of the fields you might be interested in. Find out what the work is really like, and what education is needed to get there. See which fields you think might suit you the best.

In addition, this summer, you could perhaps be a CIT or get a job at a summer camp, working on their fitness programs, so that may be an idea. You may also be able to volunteer in the childcare center at the Y or the Boys and Girls Club or similar, and work with the older kids in the kid's gym.
