How can I grow Roma tomatoes without staking or caging?

I will be growing approximately 60 Roma tomato plants this year for other people but I don't have the money to buy materials for cages or staking. I am wondering if just using weed block fabric under the plants would help keep them from having problems so I can get decent production? Anyone have any ideas? Need help ASAP

Make rows of mounds, plant your tomatoes at the side of the mounds and close to the lowest point. Water gently in the rows, and let the plants crawl up the mounds.

Weed barrier would be far better than plastic. Still doesn't prevent the ground dweller nibblers such as rolypolys from taking a bite. If you only have money for the weed barrier, then that's what it will be........and lots of food grade diatomaceous earth to go after the little ground dwellers.
