How detailed is an introduction to a MA thesis in psychology supposed to be?
My MA thesis is about attitudes. I have a general outline for my thesis and I have quite a lot written already, however I am having doubts about how detailed, or actually how basic i am supposed to be in my presentation of the topic. Should I assume that the reader has some knowledge on the topic? Or should it be more like a book chapter on the topic, providing a thorough explanation of everything?

Look at other MA papers, they will be available.
Even your prof could get it for you... Archives.
It's usually an intro, get interest, very brief
overview. Wish you the best!
