MTG: Strive?
I'm don't quite understand the new effect of Strive. Take for example Solidarity of Heroes http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Discussion....
When they say it costs G1 more does that mean more than the initial cost or more than the last cost for each additional target?
The first target cost G1 (green & colorless) but does the 2nd target cost G1 or GG2 and a 3rd target costs G1 or GGG3?
I hope that made sense.

It works the same way as the multikicker on Comet Storm. If cast on a single target, Solidarity of Heroes does use Strive and costs 1G. If you choose a second target, Strive adds 1G to the cost, making the total cost of the spell 2GG. With a third target, that's yet another 1G, for a total of 3GGG.

Strive is essentially "Pay (indicated cost) times # of targets"
So Solidarity of Heroes costs 1 Green, 1 Blank to use on 1 target
2 targets-----> 2 times 1 G, 1 Blank = 2G,2Blank total cost
3 targets-----> 3 times 1 G, 1 Blank =3G,3Blank total cost
AND so on. As long as you have the mana, you can target an unending # of creatures

You pay the casting cost, which targets one creature, for every other creature you target, you pay the extra cost: G1.
