Directional tires available in US of A?
Trying to finish out a 1965 Chev Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible. Hubby wants to put directional tires on it, and is having trouble finding the tires he wants. Looking for BF Goodrich, g-force profilers. Does anyone know of a dealer, can't find any online.

If you husband wishes his Chevelle SS to handle, ride and control as the engineers at Chevrolet intended he needs to be shopping for 195/75-14 or 205/75-14 sized tires if he is using stock rims. He could go with the 195/60R14 size which the Goodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S does offer. The load carrying capability would be marginally compromised but not hugely. He certainly should not consider a tire that has anything less than a 60 aspect ratio.

Lots of tire companies offer both directional and asymmetrical tires. They are not hard to find for most sizes. Whether BF Goodrich offers them or not, I don't know. What size tires is your husband looking for?

ALL automobile tires are directional. They only roll forward or backwards.
If you're looking for a specific tire with a certain kind of tread pattern, then maybe you should try Tirerack.com or Discounttires.com to find what you want.
