The Duck is right, Open Broadcaster Software is awesome! It doesn't take that long to understand it either. Here's a quick vid I found on it.

Open Broadcaster Software if the best. It's free and it allows you to both record and stream, as well as record certain windows and applications. You can also preview what you're going to record and add various overlays

You can use Google's Hangouts and screenshare. You can than directly live broadcast it to youtube.

Just set it up and than click screenshare desktop in the hangouts.

If you have a macbook with quicktime - all quick time applications have screen record. It will take you like two mins to figure it out. Please vote my answer as best.
