does foreign countries pay for military service?
since the US doesnt make it a requirement for you to join the military at one point, they offer to pay for school and etc to attract peoples attention to join. so, we have china and other countries that makes it a requirement for people to join when reached a certain age. since they're required to join, do they get paid like the US military does it and if so, how much?
ive been trying to find answers to this for a while, cant seem to find any information.

I have friends from Israel that say they get paid about $150 month

yes there are other countries than pay for military service, some countries give out lands for their veterans
