my gar is stuck on park it wont shift gear???!?
My car turns on but its locked on park. It won't shift down. I've turned the car on and off many times and pumped the brake while trying to shift and put the e-brake and released it and nothing! I don't know what's wrong with it. Can someone please tell me what I can do or what's wrong with it

Sounds like shift lock. In some cars, there is a key you can use to over ride the shift lock. You might need to look into that for the model car you have.

It sounds like the brake switch is either out of adjustment or has failed. On some cars there is a way to release the gearshift (usually there is a place on the console of a floor shifter where you insert a key)
Without knowing the year make and model, it is not possible to give an exact answer

What vehicle? Some have a safety mechanism so that when you apply the brake pedal it actuates your shift solenoid that allows you to take it out of park. Ive seen where spilled soda has creeped on to the shift solenoid just below your shift console and caused corrosion on the connection. Some vehicles have the wires paralleled with the brake switch too. Look above your brake pedal at the micro switch. 2 wires or 4? When you apply the brakes, does your brake lights come on? Sometimes those switches need adjusted, & cleaned with contact cleaner spray etc...need to know what your vehicle is though. My Bronko did that.
