Why are my letters spaced out in Microsoft Publisher?

In a Publisher box, the text in several of my lines (all before a hyperlink) is getting widely spaced out. I have already looked at kerning and tracking, but setting it to normal (or honestly making any changes at all under "character spacing") doesn't have any effect on the spaced-out lines.

What else can cause this, and how can I fix it so that the space between all the letters is consistent?
