    g is antiderivate of f ---> integral of f(x) dx = g(x) + C

    Let I = integral of f(x) from 1 to 3

    Thus, I = g(3) - g(1)

    Solve for g(1)

    g(1) = g(3) - I = 5 - I

    Using your calculator to calculate I, I = 6.58458

    Thus, g(1) = 5 - 6.58458 = -1.58458
