WHo's really responsible for this?!?
Hey guys, just quick question. When it comes to vehicle quality, who do you think is more responsible for poor quality; the designers, the engineers, or the people that assemble it?

Non of the people you listed. The responsible party is the person or people who hold the companies assets, liabilities and collects the equity.

I think it might be the bean counters who will work people extra hard and skimp on everything, so the shareholders can have more than last year.

The Union slobs who get overpaid to make parts and don't care about their work because the union will protect their $40/hr to push a button.
So in essence...the UAW is most responsible. Designers/engineers don't engineer poor quality, it can only be poor quality when it's manufactured. Since the UAW controls manufacturing for all the poor quality vehicles (GMs), it's pretty simple.
