Is it too late to play lacrosse senior year of high school?

I am a rising Senior in High school who has never played a sport and I am interested in lacrosse. Also could anyone tell me what position would suit my size and what I would have to work on to be at least ready for tryouts, I am 5'8", 130 pounds.

Update:

Is there anything that i can do specifically to train for attack?

Its expensive hard to learn. You should play attack because learning fundamentals is harder on a d pole which is very big, is harder than learning on short stick.

I would recommend doing a clinic or some summer league if you are serious about it to get the hang of it.

I played for three years before entering high school it was pretty fun the reason i stopped playing was so i could join track and get in good shape for football

good luck i think u should play cause its your senior year so why not

Lacrosse is a fun sport to play! if you were just starting out i would be a defender (it's the easiest position and im sure ill get butt hurt defense comments) but your size is more attack man (i am assuming u know the positions and rules) of course you could play, you would just have to practice harder than other like at home and free time when theres no practice. Just do your best and have fun is all i can say

Definitely you should play. You're still young and could have so much fun your senior year and college club and adult league. Trust me, my one regret was not playing. Loved the sport, grew up in a Lax town but focused only on wrestling which I was decent at and thought there was too much of an experience gap to make up. HUGE mistake on my part.
