What happened to my laptop (Asus X44H)?

I purchased the Asus X44H almost three years ago and I'm really happy with my purchase. Today, however, my laptop will only charge if the cable is put in at just the right angle. I'm not sure if the power jack is broken, my charger is bad (it's the one that came out of the box), or my battery is beginning to die. 90% of the time my laptop is plugged into power, so I don't know what is happening.

Also, I bought the laptop abroad, so I don't think anyone in my area (Northern Israel) can fix it.

Charging Jack is broken; get a new charger

    There are 3 possibilities.

    1. Your battery is getting weaker, this is normal with laptops if you download a program called CPUID it will tell you how much your battery is degraded by %, for example my laptops battery is 28% degraded, meaning it can only hold 72% of its designed battery, but it wont stop at 72%, instead 72% becomes 100%. Might be hard to understand, but this is normal unless your degrade is at like 90% then you need a new battery. (this is unlikely your problem)

    2. Your cable is bad, (unlikely your problem, the cables generally don't go bad unless in super heat or super cool environments)

    3. Your charging jack is corrupted, this is the MOST common problem with almost EVERY laptop out there. Solution? open the laptop up, and then find out what kind of plug you have, some are plug ins, then you just buy it and plug in the new charging jack. or It is a solder on, if you have soldering experience solder it yourself. Nevertheless you are going to have to change the jack soon, wait any longer and it will completely die and your laptop will literally not turn on until you change it. What happens is one of the wires inside breaks and then it only touches at a certain angle, these wires are insanely small and unrepairable, even at a computer repair shop and not worth trying to repair, as the whole charger jack itself is only around 5-10 dollars. But labor charge at a shop will probably be 100 dollars or more.
