Why should we expect government run health care to be any different than the way the VA is run.?

While the VA has had problems in recent years, the agency has generally been well run overall and has done a good job of delivering care to veterans.

Go look at the US Postal Service... They ask for more money every year and offer less service, and they STILL throw the wrong mail in my mail box.

NOW the same Government wants to run the entire country's health care system... What do YOU think will happen?

No thanks to the GOP the VA is under staffed because its budget has been cut. But we know you knew that all along.

Its like the UK if you are old and get cancer to bad

And somehow you think the ACA is 'government run healthcare'?

If so then you are completely in the dark about reality.

The ACA is not government run nor government managed healthcare.

Now for the VA.

Are there some problems? Yes, but for the vast majority of the 8 million people it serves it does a very good job. Were we warned prior to going into the Iraq and Afghanistan wars that the VA need additional staff and funding? Yes. Were the recommendations listened to? No.

And working in the VA at this time.

I never had to wait for services until now. I really am disgusted.

We should not expect it to be any different.

Anytime the government gets its hands into something it cost way more than it should and operates less efficiently than it should.

Expect it to be equal and don't expect it will be much different.
