Cholesterol question....can you help please?

I am on a cholesterol reducing diet....so that I don't have to take tablets & I want to know how the cholesterol reduces?? Where does it go?

Does it just disperse in the body... do you excrete it out?? I would love to know....I know it's a bit of a strange question...but any details would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for any serious answers.

Update:

how flipping annoying these answers are....I am going to let this go to the public vote for best answer.

I did NOT need to be told that there is not a cholesterol reducing diet....I am trying to reduce my cholesterol via my diet....you know....eat less bad fats and crap....rather than take tablets.

I did not need a ridicule or speech/lecture...I wanted to know how the cholesterol leaves the body...nothing more!!

It's an extremely good thing you're avoiding statins. Unless you are an elderly male who's already had a heart attack they offer no benefit.

Now the problem you have is that the recommended diet to lower cholesterol actually may do more damage than good.

Foods with natural fats - even saturated fats from animal products - help improve your good HDL cholesterol and should absolutely be eaten.

Foods with sugars and starches should be avoided. They cause inflammation and thus increase your bad LDL cholesterol.

You *want* to eat eggs, nuts, fish, avocados, red meat (grass fed), etc.

You want to AVOID wheat, flour, bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, corn, cereals & grains. And AVOID sugar!

Every cell in your body uses cholesterol. Cholesterol is not the heart disease villain. Sugar is the villain.

You are smart to stay off of statins!

there is no such thing as a cholesterol reducing diet , 99% of cholesterol is made in the liver and is essential for good health regular light exercise getting your heart rate to 130% of normal is the best way to keep levels down , but it is more likely that poor heart condition with reduced blood flow causes cholesterol build up than cholesterol causing heart conditions but of course simple exercise doesn't make drug companies billions
