Just wondering what is the best and safest way to clean yourself before anal intercourse? What do you guys do when you want to bottom?

Enemas. Just buy an anal douche/enema "kit" which is just a rubber bulb with a thin tube on the end. Fill it with warm water and squirt it up your bum, ideally you want to try and leave it for 10 minutes before going to the bathroom and you may want to do it a couple of times.
Bear in mind that this doesnt really clean you in the full sense of the word. It ensures that you wont need the toilet for a while which makes receptive sex feel better as well as put your mind at rest about any potential embarrassment, but youre still not going to be "clean". If you are going to be doing things like rimming then you should have a hot shower beforehand and ensure you wash properly, anyone who engages in rimming or things like oral after anal should also be getting the combined Hep A+B vaccines.
