Do you have to ask if your paycheck came in or does your manager let you know?

Got my first job almost a month ago at cvs and still never got a check. Should I ask if one came in? The website says a check was printed. They don't hold the first check according to a co-worker

    They mail it to you.

    So, if you don't get it at the time they said you would be getting it, let your manager know, and he will look into it.
