Not the worst that honour goes to tricky Dicky however he was certainly not one of the finest.

To answer your question, the race would have to be between jackson, wilson and lbj. There were worse presidents than any of these three but each was in some form a desipicable person.

Before Andrew "Old Hooligan" Jackson became the president, the Jeffersonian Republicans were on a path of orderly progress toward Abolition of slavery, as the rest of the civilized world had done.

Then the renegade and hoodlum named Andrew Jackson, a backwards hillbilly from Tennessee, broke up the Jeffersonian Republican party, and he became the president. He started his own party called the Democratic Party, which still exists today.

Jackson was a slave owner. He owned hundreds of slaves, who grew cotton on his 1,000 acre plantation. He prohibited the post office from delivering Abolitionist literature. He made a gag rule in Congress that prohibited any discussion of legislation to restrict slavery. Jackson and his pro slavery goons turned the USA away from the path to Abolition, and onto the path to Civil War.

Of course, we all know about his atrocity against the Native Americans, called the Trail of Tears.

Glenn Beck insisted this man be named "Wilson". I surely do not know.
