Do any of us have the notion that we are going to die, and from there where each will go besides the grave?

I have vivid thoughts, and ponder many things, and just wonder why?

Death is one topic that every human being agrees is inevitable.

But what happens after death is a topic of disagreements.

People, many people, chose not to bother to find out about Resurrection and Judgement simply because to them it is boring and distracting from having fun here and now.

But they will be reminded - but today is the Day that you denied will ever come to past - then they will deny ever saying so, they will ask to be sent back (to the Earth that is no longer there) to make amend - by then it will be too late!

Each one of us one day are going to step out of time and into eternity and face judgement by a loving YET Holy God. Who will judge us not that we did not do the wrong things but we failed to do the right things. Those without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ have chosen to try and make heaven by their own measuring stick and standards as if their goodness can get them to heaven but those who try to make heaven by Jesus Christ have accepted the FREE gift of God to enter as Jesus bore our sins for us.

We would all love to believe after we die there is blackness and nothing but as long as you are so incredible that there are parts of you that no earthly thing can measure that nothingness will never be a reality! Ever!

Heaven or Hell you decide. Death is not the back of the book its the next chapter.

All the major faiths refer to us the children as already being blind/dead/asleep, or what the Hindu's refer to as being in a state of Avidya/Ignorance.

    (Collosions 3:3)

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

    ISLAM.

The Koran itself seems quite clear: "And you were dead, and He brought you back to life. And He shall cause you to die, and shall bring you back to life, and in the end shall gather you unto Himself." (2:28).

    Buddhism

Avidyā (Sanskrit; Pāli: avijjā; Tibetan phonetic: ma rigpa) is commonly translated as "ignorance" or "delusion".

    Hinduism

He who is forgetful of the Self, mistaking the physical body for it, and goes through innumerable births, is like one who wanders all over the world in a dream. Thus, realizing the Self would only be like waking up from the dreamwanderings.

Death comes to everyone. Eternal bliss after death come to a few.

    The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7

    A Tree and Its Fruit

15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

7:13–29 This closing section of the Sermon on the Mount is a gospel application. Here are two gates, two ways, two destinations, and two groups of people (vv. 13, 14); two kinds of trees and two kinds of fruit (vv. 17–20); two groups at the judgment (vv. 21–23); and two kinds of builders, building on two kinds of foundations (vv. 24–28). Christ is drawing the line as clearly as possible between the way that leads to destruction and the way that leads to life.

7:13, 14 Both the narrow gate and the wide gate are assumed to provide the entrance to God’s kingdom. Two ways are offered to people. The narrow gate is by faith, only through Christ, constricted and precise. It represents true salvation in God’s way that leads to life eternal. The wide gate includes all religions of works and self-righteousness, with no single way (cf. Ac 4:12), but it leads to hell, not heaven.

7:14 way is narrow. Christ continually emphasized the difficulty of following Him (10:38; 16:24, 25; Jn 15:18, 19; 16:1–3; cf. Ac 14:22). Salvation is by grace alone, but is not easy. It calls for knowledge of the truth, repentance, submission to Christ as Lord, and a willingness to obey His will and Word.

7:21 Not everyone who says … but he who does. The barrenness of this sort of faith demonstrates its real character (cf. v. 20)—the faith that says but does not do is really unbelief. Jesus was not suggesting that works are meritorious for salvation, but that true faith will not fail to produce the fruit of good works. This is precisely the point of Jas 1:22–25; 2:26.

All of us will die one day, some early and others late. I think we should think about death more often because it's natural part of life.

For those who have been faithful to the LORD God and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ there is the hope of salvation and resurrection. That is what the Bible teaches us.

After death we are cremated or we decompose and that is the end.

Reality is just what it says on the label, atheist.
