how much would it cost to get a flea treatment for puppy at the vet?

I got a puppy last night and didn't know she had fleas until this afternoon. I have already gave her a bath with flea and tick shampoo And brushed her. I think i got most of the fleas but i don't know if it removed the eggs. Im just wondering where should i go and how much it would be? Or if i can do one at home? would it be more successful at home or vet?

Unfortunately there will be flea eggs in your home now, and you can expect them to hatch out in about 3 weeks.

Your puppy has to go to the vet anyway within the next day or two, so ask the vet what to use. Also take along a *fresh* stool sample because your puppy likely has one or more types of worms. The vet will examine the stool and give you whatever meds are needed.

If you have other pets, they'll have to be treated as well.

Dawn dishwashing liquid (original blue kind only) works better and is safer than any flea/tick shampoo. Start at the head and let sit for 5 mins before rinsing.
