atv left behind, can i buy it?
Friend let a guy store an atv, they agreed for a small fee, no contract. The guy hasn't been heard from in 3 years, no one knows where he is . Question is can this guy sell it and can I buy it ? He doesn't have the title or a key, so when we apply for a lost title will they contact this guy through dmv records, if so can this guy come and claim it ? Are there steps to take legally, put ads in the paper ? This is in Idaho. Thanks in advance

yes, you would have get declared abandon and get a title to it. Or your friend can file a lien against.
