How do I wire something so that it only runs when the vehicle is turned on?

I have a motorcycle with a gps system installed, but right now it's installed directly to the battery and drains it even when the bike is not in use.

This currently makes it so that I have to charge the bike every week or so.

How do I rewire it so that it will only draw power when the bike is running?

Trace the electrical circuit that your GPS is connected to and change it to a fused circuit that turns off when the ignition switch is turned off.

Wiring diagrams for your bike can be found in the service/repair manual for your bike.

Better consult an electrician for this wiring, actually you should not take any risk for any electrical work...
