Small bumps on lips itches.?

I have small itty bitty microscopic like bumps on my lips. I don't believe it's an allergic reaction to chapsticks only because I've stopped using them and tested it when the bumps cleared and haven't had a reaction in the past and it not new type of chapsticks I've tried and I'm not the sharing type to share or use other peoples chapsticks/lip products. The bumps form in a small cluster and they itch then the spread to the edges or rest of my lip they go through 3 phases itches, scabbing and peeling, gone for a day or two then reappears. This has been going on for a few months now what should I do visit a doctor? Try over the counter med? I don't really know what is causing this it's not herpes unless it's the form you already carry other than that it's not std herpes because i don't do any of that. Do you know what these little bumps are? why they keep reappearing? What can I do to treat it? Any help is appreciated!

-Thank you god bless and have a great day :)

They could be resulting from any number of things. The fact that they are forming on your lips could be because you are sensitive to some sort of food. Food allergies come in all shapes and sizes. For example I am gluten intolerant. When I eat gluten I puff up and get really fatigued. I had a friend once who got hives when she ate milk or wheat. Consider getting your blood tested for any food allergies. It could also be a drug allergy. Are you taking any medications (birth control, acne meds, etc?). I had a terrible reaction to a simple anti fungal drug a few months ago which actually caused a very similar reaction to what you are describing. I got little raised bumps all over my lower jaw that itched and flaked. Medications have all sorts of nasty chemicals in them that can cause a multitude of symptoms. It could be a reaction to your toothpaste, bacteria in your mouth, etc. They could also be caused by stress. Some people break out in a rash or hives when highly stressed or hormonal. Are you under stress? anxiety prone? pregnant? menopausal? (you didn't mention your gender so I'm just covering the basics here). Do you have any other skin conditions that you know of like psoriasis or chronic dry skin?

There could be hundreds of possible causes. I would go see a dermatologist or a naturopath (I prefer the latter because they typically prescribe treatments that don't cause any unwanted side effects). In the mean time you might try applying callendula oil, lavender oil, tea tree oil or pure aloe. These are all natural healing and soothing agents and will not make your condition worse or cause any unwanted side effects. Do not use petroleum based products like aquafor, as these will seal out the air and prevent healing. Hope this was helpful.
