Nokia E71 phone problem?

My Nokia E71 on Straight Talk, AT&T network has a problem. It got wet and I was able to dry it but some of the settings got changed. I spent about 3 hours on the phone with Straight Talk CS and got no where. In fact, I want to shoot myself. Hopefully someone out there knows more than they do. My phone is dropping calls and the internet is very very slow. Back when it was working properly, at the top left of the screen next to the signal strength bars , appeared a number between one and three over the top of two parallel bars with no slash mark. According to the manual on line which I can no longer access that meant it was active for a data package for which I can't recall the letters. It now has an E above the two lines which means it is active with a different data package for which I can't recall the letters. I need to get this phone back to the package that had the number over the lines. The phone has been reset to factory settings. The CS people had no clue as how to make this phone work or what data packages were. I had the letters when talking to them. This phone does not have two sims cards. HELP please.

First off these phones suck! i had one and had nothing but problems now my friend is having problems too. it may be cheap but they dont work good. it is better to just pay a little more money for a plan and get a better phone with better service and all that.

The people on there are little to no help. You can try to factory re set the phone but you will lose every thing. you may just have to buy a new phone. even if you dry it out the phone may have more problems later. good luck!

Here's the manual Shady. Trouble is, you mentioned it got wet. That might be why the phone is 'acting funny' on new network settings and not the network. I'd like to be wrong but water wreaks havoc on circuits and boards and causes odd things that can last weeks. Hope the answer is in there. Best luck.
