AC not cooling well. I drained system and pulled vacuum and recharged by weight. Low side reading on gauge of about 50 to 55. High pressure reading of about 125. Still cooling some and better while driving than sitting. I am thinking compressor about ready to die. Mileage 110K. Condensor is clean. Any other thoughts.?

I have a low mileage wrecked 2006 Vue with the 3.5 Honda engine. I would like to put engine and tranny into another Vue. The only chassis with bad engines for sale cheap seem to be the 2.2 4 cyl. models. Is it feasible to put my V6 motor and tranny into a 4 cyl. chassis. I have the whole wrecked car. Honda engines used from 04 thru 07.

My SUV was originally bought in CA. It has the 3.5 Honda engine and the Honda ATM. Many Honda's that used that engine have the VCM feature where it would only use the number of cylinders needed. My Saturn sounds like it has this feature, but does anyone know if GM ever used the VCM feature in any of the Saturn Vue with the 3.5 Honda engine? Telling me to call a dealer is not an answer. There are none left and they do not know the answer and the owners manual does not address.

What appears to be a warning light pix of oil can and a wrench is present at start up on cluster but goes off in several seconds. Scanner finds no trouble codes. Motor does seem to have a misfire at higher RPM than idle. No owner manual in this car. Is this light normal or is it telling me something? Car has 104K miles and ATF and appears to be well maintained. No lights present after this one goes off and NO it is not low of oil. Recently serviced.

3 ton package heat pump. Age 12, Copeland non-scroll compressor. R-22. All the fans and the compressor are running. Not capacitor problem. Getting proper voltage. System was evacuated and filled by weight with new refrigerant. System took the new refrigerant normally. Does not cool. Gauges on the low pressure side reads 150 with the unit off not running. With the unit running, gauge does not move. Showing no suction. The pipes around the compressor are not even sweating. It is on the cooling mode. Does anyone see a possibility except a bad compressor? This unit sat and not used for while, but not over a month. I don't need any WAG's. Hopefully an experienced heat and air person is reading. Also do not need to be told to call certified repair person. I can repair this if it is cost effective, if I can figure out the problem. Thanks, JA

2008 Vx1100 Yamaha wave runner. I bought this engine used to use in making a jet-jon boat. Engine installed and when I cranked it up, with a garden hose attached to it for cooling, a large stream of water is coming from the vent tube in the valve cover. Compression is normal. No water in the oil that I can tell. It was running on all 4 cylinders with a huge stream of water coming from the vent pipe. I don't think water is supposed to be coming from this pipe. What is the likely problem?

A friend has reached retirement age and has worked for the same national company for 30 plus years. They have a pension plan based upon years of service. The employer claims they can deduct the sum of the time of all of his paid vacations and one stint of medical disability from his seniority regarding his pension. This adds up to a couple of years. I've never heard of this before and I doubt if it is legal and certainly is not fair. Does anyone know if a law applies to this? He is in TN.

I was given a HP laptop. Few years old but still good for internet. It is running Vista. Problem, I can't get past the password and have no way to learn the password. It has no recovery disc with it. Any place on line I've found wants money for a password removal program. Computer is not worth spending money on it. I need a way to remove the password to make this old laptop useable that does not cost much or any money.

I recently bought a 04 Pontiac Sunfire with 100K miles. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts well, but I want to change the transmission oil. I know how much to use and the type of oil and where to drain. I can not find where to put the oil back in this transmission. My repair manual states use a long funnel which I have in stock, but I can't find the stupid plug or what ever is there to add the oil. Suggestions please.

My Nokia E71 on Straight Talk, AT&T network has a problem. It got wet and I was able to dry it but some of the settings got changed. I spent about 3 hours on the phone with Straight Talk CS and got no where. In fact, I want to shoot myself. Hopefully someone out there knows more than they do. My phone is dropping calls and the internet is very very slow. Back when it was working properly, at the top left of the screen next to the signal strength bars , appeared a number between one and three over the top of two parallel bars with no slash mark. According to the manual on line which I can no longer access that meant it was active for a data package for which I can't recall the letters. It now has an E above the two lines which means it is active with a different data package for which I can't recall the letters. I need to get this phone back to the package that had the number over the lines. The phone has been reset to factory settings. The CS people had no clue as how to make this phone work or what data packages were. I had the letters when talking to them. This phone does not have two sims cards. HELP please.

I recently replaced the AC compressor on my Sunfire. The old one locked up. I ordered a Re-man. compressor off Ebay. I flushed the system, changed the dryer and orfice and recharged with the proper oil and Freon. I also vacuum the system prior to charging. The suction/low side pressure is in the low 30's and the high pressure is just short of 200. These appear to be normal readings. It cools great. It started making a noise just hours after installation. The noise is a rattling humming sound when you first start the car. Noise is def. coming from the compressor. If the engine is rev up the noise disappears or is certainly much less and not noticeable. The compressor bolts are not loose and while the noise is present, it quits if the AC is turned off. What could be the cause of this noise? I'm afraid I've been sold a cleaned up and painted used compressor rather than being rebuilt.

I restored the system back to prior to the problem, but it is still shutting down. I can surf on Ebay as long as I do not try to log in. This is the only website that is causing a problem. Suggestions please.

I have a 04 Sunfire that has an air bag warning light on. I have a scanner and it is showing a code B0026 Driver Frontal Deployment Loop Open. I bought this car used so I don't know the whole history. I took off the air bag and I see no problem with the connection and it does not look as if the air bag has been replaced or the steering wheel removed. No marks on the nut, etc. The fuse is OK. I see no evidence of this car being in an accident in the front. Appears the driver fender was replaced at some time. Looking for a best guess as what to try? I don't want to replace the air bag and SIR coil which I understand can cause this code. These are hard to find in a salvage yard. Thanks and Happy New Year.

How do you trouble shoot this system without paying big bucks at the dealer who would replace everything and call it fixed and hand you a $1000 or more bill. I don't need advice about disarming the system. I know how to do that and the importance. Thanks

The truck is an automatic(E40D) XL with standard bed and 2WD. It looks, drives, runs, new but burns too much gas to be a daily driver. I changed the gear from a 355 to a 273 as I don't pull much and it also has a K & N cold-air intake. The intake is run through the air box and does not affect the sensors. It still gets 12 mpg on the highway. No I don't need driving lessons, I got 35 mpg with my Park Ave on a trip recently. Has anyone been able to get any mileage from these trucks, or should it have been a clue when a standard truck came with two gas tanks from the factory. I am going to change the gear to a 308 since it made no difference in the mpg and it currently is geared too high. I have the ability to do these things cheaply. Suggestions please. Sell it to a Ford fan has already been made.

on this motor. The ski is wrecked and I'm considering putting the motor and jet drive in a jon boat. It has 300 plus hours on the engine.

I have a Kodak 3.2 printer. It is a cheap piece of garbage, but I fell for the cheaper ink ad. I only need to print in black and white. I know how to set the preferences. Problem, the color ink cartridge goes empty regardless of use. It may be just drying up. Machine will not print in black unless it has a live color cartridge installed. Is there any way to trick this machine into thinking it has color ink? Any way to fill the color cartridge with something other than ink to make it work? Ink should not cost more than gold coins!!! Yes, I already know I can get a black lazer printer that will be cheaper per copy and will not dry out. I'm looking for a bargain in that direction.

I have large dogs, Labs, and live on a farm on the lake. They are outside a lot and in the water a lot. The only thing I've found in recent years that works for fleas is the Comfortis pill. Drops and collars have not worked here in years. Advantage worked when it first came out, but something changed and I don't think my fleas got smarter. Feed back on the particular product will be appreciated. I don't need any advice on natural remedies. I've tried everything and even flea dip does not work here any more.
