Carrot Cake sides unfrosted, kept in a glass stand cake with a lid, will it last moist for 5 days?

I have been baking for a while, and I know that most cakes can be left at toom temperature for up to a week being tightly wrap with cling wrap if it's not frosted yet

while the frosted one, can be left outside in a cake keeper for a week, no need refrigeration required (unless contained whipped cream/ cheese cream/fresh fruit) as the air from the fridge will dry out the cake

I made a Carrot Cake made out of oil not butter... which will be consumed on Sunday afternoon

For some reason, I made that on thursday, filled and top with Lemon buttercream, left the sides unfrosted at all

I put it in a cake stand closed with a dome lid made out of glass, and asked the customer to leave it in room temperature as it is, was sure that it won't make the cake dry out.. as long as remain uncut...

But now I am for some reason getting worried that it actually would dry out. as I left the sides unfrosted

have you have experience or knowledge with this... do you think it would remain fresh and not dry out for the next 4 days (thursday to sunday)

thank you

here is the photo of it

If its buttercream frosting then it will go dry and crackly the cake itself will lose moistness if that's a word:). It won't be overly dry but yes it will be crumbly! The picture shows some sort of nuts I think and they will go chewy and not very pleasant best thing to do is consume it within 2 days and bake another

It will depend on how good the cover is.

Most of the ones I have seen only sit in the stand ans are not air sealed, so the edges of the cake could dry a little, but that starts straight away anyway and most people will accept that.

My concern though is about your storage instructions and all I can say is we don't know what temperatures that cake is going to be sitting in for the next 5 days. I would suggest it be stored in a closet or cabinet as close to the floor as possible or in a fridge.

I find it is incredibly stupid for your customer to buy one that premature, and at the same time expecting it to be in perfect condition.

Unless the seal on the cake stand lid is perfect or the ambient humidity is high, I think it will be a little dry. I would serve it with ice cream.
