Finding out your blood type?
I just went through a 14 panel blood test(s) in which all came back normal (Thank goodness)
~
Anyway, I called my Dr to ask what was my blood type and I was told I had to take a separate test for that?!
~~
Shouldn't they know by all the different test I just took?
~~~
Here's a few I took : CMP, HIV Screen, LIPID Panel, CBC, PSA, SED Rate, TSH
No, my friend. It IS a separate test to identify your blood grouping/typing.
No. If you wanted to know your blood type, you should have asked your doctor to include that for the lab to do after they drew your blood. It's not done authomatically, and blood type has no effect on all the other tests they can do with blood.
Usually people will learn their blood type for free in college in a microbiology class.
Does your math test evaluate your knowledge of history? Each test is very specific so none of those tests would test your ABO type but it should be on your birth certificate though it may be wrong on the certificate. The easiest way to determine your blood type would be to donate blood, they'll test your type then.
No. There are literally millions of tests that can be done and the doctor has to know/request which ones he wants. If he doesn't request it - then you won't get the result.
Go donate blood. A few weeks afterwards you can go in and get your type.
