How should I dress for a job at Clark's Shoes?

I start my job as a sales associate tomorrow, button down and khakis or slacks? I assume business casual but don't want to seem too ostentatious on day one.

So, you've never been to those stores, to see how people there dress?

You should dress at the level the rest do. Or at the median level (if their way of dressing varies a lot).

Business casual sounds just fine. Also, take a look at what the other associates are wearing and follow their leads.

Wear some Clarks (of course!). Blazer and khakis would be nice with a button-down shirt.

I don't know who this Clark is, but have you considered wearing the fellas shoes?

It's always better to over-dress than under-dress. You know about first impressions, right?

Button down shirt and khakis sounds fine. (But you should have checked out what employees were wearing before you started!)

Look around at what the other employees are wearing, and dress similar.
