I'm 19, male, and a college student who is beginning to believe that skincare products and acne treatments are just modern day versions of snake oil. I have had a case of acne that has remained incredibly persistent over the course of my adolescence. Like many people in my situation, I have used many remedies over the years ranging form drug store creams and washes to prescriptions form a dermatologist.

My question is, are these products simply doing more harm than good? I know the theories and science behind them are most likely sound, but I suspect that when synthesized into a marketable and stable product and used in the real world, they do not work as designed. I know many people, mostly men who have clear skin and don't have a medicine cabinet full of crap like i do. What are your experiences, what do you suggest, o' friendly stranger of the internet?

I am writing an argumentative essay for my freshman comp class, I am debating the subject of whether or not television viewing in young children causes ADHD. Do you think my thesis is clearly stated?

Television is not a contributor to the development of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in young children, but is the focus of falsely assumed attacks by people who need something easy to blame for the recent influx of ADHD diagnosis. Proponents for the recent influx of ADHD diagnosis in children have created an environment where it is all too convenient to place the blame on television, a staple of the American lifestyle for nearly a century.

A while ago I bought a new espresso machine in hopes of mixing up my morning routine. The machine makes single and double shot espresso which I usually mix with milk or water. The result is OK, but I don't think I'm doing it right. When the machine produces the espresso, it doesn't seem to be as dark or rich as it should be. The stream is initially dark brown, but then tappers of into almost the color of light tea. I grind the beans to the "espresso" setting on my grinder, but I still think something is off. Any suggestions?

I am a senior in highschool, with a 3.0 gpa. How far would it move in one semester either way if i maintained all A's or failed every class?
