I expect people of other religions to follow their religion just as much as I expect Christians to. It may just seem that we only expect christians to because we live in America, where moreth an 2/3 of the population is Christian.
If we lived in India or Iran, I would expect the Hindus and Muslims there to be living their religion.

No other religion makes the egotistical claims that Christians do. No other religion claims to have a Holy Spirit in them changing their hearts and minds, no other religion pretends that they "turn the other cheek" when confronted, no other religion pretends to love everyone in such an obviously phony way.
In short, Christians are the only ones who piously claim to be good and loving while treating others badly and saying mean things about them. It's the blatant hypocrisy that gets to us. Some of the most mean, vicious, people I've met say they're Christians. Some of them have told me it doesn't matter how they treat others because they're already saved. Some use the "not perfect, just forgiven" excuse for acting like jerks.

I have never seen anyone demanding that someone else be "perfect"
Who would be such a fool as to require anyone else to have no faults whatsoever?
What you are actually talking about is the unhappiness that some of us feel towards people who *talk* a good Christian life, but who go out and live a different sort of life all together.
A pedophile Christian extremist, who preaches goodness and light, and then is caught sexuality molesting a teen-age boy, is not being criticized for his imperfection.
He is under attack for his *hypocrisy*.

Well we are commanded to be perfect:
Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
but all are born again as spiritual children and need to grow up:
Philippians 3:15
Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;
Philippians 3:12
Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
James 1:4
And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
1 Peter 5:10
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
1 John 2:5
but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:

Who the flying hell expects Christians to be perfect? They are just expected to try to be as Christlike as they can.

Probably because Christians are so busy pointing the finger at others. What goes around comes around.

You have to admit that if we walked the Christian half as well as we talked the Christian we'd have the world eathing out of the palms of our hands.

Because Christians should better their live as a reaction to what Jesus did for them.
Most of them forget that at the point someone becomes a Christian the war (with satan) starts.
