1998-2001 Honda Accord trans, easy question?

Can you use a 1999-2001 Honda Accord transmission on a 1998 Honda Accord?

    Thumbs to first answer but would like to add that those were notorious for auto trans failure. I would recommend getiing yours rebuilt unless you can get a replacement that was made after 3/2005. Early ones were replaced with the same trannies; Redesigned trannies were used as of 3/2005.

    I don't see why not? 1998-2002 is the sixth generation Accord and having the same engine/ transmission mounts location and it'll fit as long as it's the same auto or manual type or I-4 or V6 engines. HTH
