What does this mean?

We have to do a project on a part of the body and a disease that has to do with it. I chose the nervous system and for the disease, Alzheimer's. I am stuck on the part which says; Explain the acquisition of the pathology. I am not sure what this means.

Excellent catch of a poorly written question. Clinical and histo-pathologic changes are not acquired, but rather develop in response to the underlying disease/disorder. Your teacher may be asking for the etiology and/or the clinical signs/symptoms and associated microscopic changes. In the case of Alzheimer's, the specific etiology is unknown, and the most common (but not pathognomonic) lesions seen are neurofibrillary tangles and neuritic (amyloid) plaque.
