Empty wall in homeschool room?

I have 2 computer desks (really two halves of an antique table) attached to one wall in the school room. This wall is about 8 feet square, no windows, light blue. It is in a house over 100 years old. What could I put on the wall above the computer desks? I have some educational posters, but I want the wall to look good, and maybe also be useful as storage or display.

Don't try to recreate a classroom setting at home. Give the kids a fun place to work or let them work around the house where they are comfortable. Let your kids decide what to put on that wall. If the room is dark, a big mirror may help brighten it up.

I remember having one of those huge, maybe 8 foot long x 5 foot tall National Geographic World Maps on a wall in our house growing up. Being able to look at the world as whole and where all the continents and countries were, their relative sizes, and being able to relate current events/news to 'where it happened' made me a map lover for life. Geography, geology, history, tracing your genealogy and where you came from.... Lots of applications that are educationally oriented with a map.

You might consider putting up some shelves; to store books, papers, and other things on. Maybe a chalk board, to write daily words of wisdom.
