dating and gaining weight?
So I had a bad year because of a death in the immediate family of a teen sibling. I gained 40 pounds. I just joined weight watchers and I am on my way to losing it. I have been asked out on a date from someone I knew when I was 40 pounds lighter. I told him about the weight gain and how I wasn't up for a date until I lose this weight. He said its okay lets workout together. Lets eat right together and etc. I dont know if I should still go on a date with him looking like this. What do you think?

I am really torn on this because I struggle with weight. On one hand, it sounds so fun to get to know someone like that. Having a great guy, who is not shallow, to support you while get healthy is awesome.
But, on the other hand, beginning to date someone usually involves going out to eat a lot, and could hinder your progress. Plus, sometimes we are not always confident about our looks, even when we are thin.
So, in my heart of hearts, if it were me, I would go somewhere in the middle, like after a 15-20 pound loss, and a dress size, to go on the first date. It will give you time to feel better physically, and mentally, without waiting so long to be with him.
