How can it be that some people actually believe that a call for a "gun-free zone" would be respected by criminals?

When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.

I think that people that are ardently anti-gun, and want to restrict everyones right to bear arms should have the integrety to post a "Gun Free Zone" sign in front of their homes and businesses. Politicians and Hollywood types with that position should make it known that their body guards will no longer be armed. After all, what's good for us everyday citizens should be good enough for them as well. Why would they need armed protection while denying it to us?

Only brain dead liberals believe that gun free zone save peoples lives, and that is because their liberal gun control bigot handlers have told them that is so, and these brain dead liberal only say, believe, and do what the liberal gun control bigot handlers tell their sheep to say, believe, and do.

Gun-free zones are meant for those mythical "law-biding citizens" who are likely to pull a gun and start shooting if they think they've been insulted or threatened - like that swine of a retired police captain who shot that dude in a Florida movie theater for throwing a bit of popcorn. Had the ash whole of a cop not had a gun with him, the other dude would still be alive...

A Gun Free Zone is respected alright. Its like a neon sign to those looking for "safer" places to rob and even to suicidal mass murderers. Easy targets. I recall a New York newspaper printing all the names of an area of people who had registered guns. Some who didn't were then robbed. In Chicago today, the children were told not to go out in the school yard because 6 people nearby had been shot. Chicago has very strict gun laws. In Texas, 1991, a woman in a restaurant watched her parents and others die from a man who drove his truck into the building and started shooting. The city had a law that no guns could be taken out of the vehicle even with a permit to carry. Her gun was in her glove box or she could have stopped this man before he killed so many people as well as her parents as she testified before a Senate committee.

Even the slightest hint of common sense would indicate to sane people that those who have enough daring and lack of respect for property as well as human life would never be deterred by a Gun Free Zone sign, but would only deter law abiding citizens who choose to carry a gun. Period.
