What actions can I take? My main bathroom is not connected to the septic tank even though realtor said my house was.?
Bought my house 10 years ago and just recently discovered due to plumping problems that my main bathroom is not connect to my septic. My bathroom drain pipes runs under my neighbors property. I had to spend over $5000 to have it hooked up to the septic.
I have looked up state law and it says the realtor can't be held responsible if they say they didn't know about this. Somebody had to know! What is my next step?

After 10 years? You really don't have a case. This is a situation you should have found out within a few weeks of purchasing your house. There isn't much you can do now--except pay up. It's a case of "caveat emptor"--let the buyer beware. If you had your house inspected when you bought it and this wasn't discovered then, there isn't a thing you can do now. It's been far too long. And no, you can't hold the realtor responsible. YOU are responsible when you purchase a house for having it thoroughly inspected and vetted before you pay for it.
