Is McDonald's demand for low wages for its workers the beginning of a GOP plot to bring back slavery?
If slaves did all the work for no pay, prices would be real low! For the few who were not slaves!

Since the slave owner is responsible for the well being of a slave, it's actually cheaper to pay people poorly & leave them to cover their costs. Just like it's less expensive to have your company extract resources from someplace as opposed to colonizing & running a government while you're doing the same. Although with slavery there might be a better chance for socialized medicine.....

In the first place, NOBODY is obligated to take or stay at any particular job in the U.S., therefore, nobody is a "slave".
In the second place, "burger flippers" make the same at McDonaldsBurgerKingSonicInNOutDairyQueen...you name it. McDonalds doesn't pay any more or any less than the other burger flipper joints or fast food joints. If McDonalds truly paid way less than other burger flipper/fast food joints, nobody would be working at McDonalds.
It's a low skill job, always has been and always will be.
Low skill jobs demand lower wages.
Deal with it.

Lol, you have quite an imagination.

No. Slavery does not even have wage. :(
In relation to the minimum wage debate, here's an interesting report: http://bitly.com/1n4lqIa.

A completely asinine statement. Slaves were not paid anything at all and did not have the option of choosing not to work at McDonalds. Conservatives have no more to do with the wages paid at McDonalds then they do what community organizers from Chicago get paid. Stupid remark with no facts behind it.

Your theory was made evident in its mistaken postulation these past few days, when the democrat majority refused to address the minimum wage.Since the sixties worldcorp has been buying US government. They have bought decisions to make it possible to run our country from their tax havens abroad. Some of our worst enemies have large amounts of money invested in worldcorp entities, based in the US, or not based in the US,but still portraying themselves as US corporations.(eg Stanley tools) A few hundred of the richest of the world are using the US military as a battering ram to open up the worlds market to them, and to hold their ground. It is the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned against, but globalized, and headed toward world government to protect them.US citizens need to wake up and see that it is not democrat or republican, but pro average citizen or not, bought or not.You must vote, before your vote won't matter. The main thing democrats and republicans agree on is the exclusion of a viable third party.Stop repeating the party mantras think for yourself.

Making taxpayers pick up the costs they can't pay because of low wages is good for business.
