Having first period signs but no breast development?
i'm 13 and i heard your first period usually comes 2 years after your breasts start growing. i am a late bloomer and i don't even have breast buds yet. but i have been getting discharge often, mood swings and sometimes cramps but they don't last long. am i going to get my period soon? is it weird to have your period but breasts haven't started developing? by the way i have pubic hair and some armpit hair i just shaved it for the fist time recently. and i am tall around 5'5'' weigh around 115. i know everyone says periods are annoying but i want to get my first one over with! when will my breasts start growing?? they aren't even sore or anything. please help. thank you

Everyone develops differently, some will reach menarche before they start developing breasts and others may develop huge breasts before they reach menarche. No one can tell you then your breasts will start growing, also not everyone says periods are annoying...some of us absolutely love our periods...don't let other girls bad attitudes towards their periods effect how you feel about yours.

Just keep a pad on hand in case you start. Sooner or later you will start to develop.

As Jay says, everyone develops differently. Thinking back, I knew girls who were developing breasts in 5th grade, when they likely hadn't even started their periods yet. And there are grown adult women who never develop breasts and have chests as flat as a man's. Just wait a few years for puberty and the associated hormones to do its work. You'll probably start seeing breasts by the time you're 15. And whether they're large or small, start early or start late, just accept and love them for what they are, and accept yourself as you are.

I'm 17, and it was a bit different for me. I was late starting my period (I started when I was 16) and I began wearing a bra in the 7th grade (I was 13).
I know may girls who are 15 who don't have any signs of boobs yet. All girls are different. My best friend started her period when she was 8 years old and didnt get boobs until she was 14. There is nothing to worry about, all girls are different. You will get yours eventually!
