  • Can people with normal skin get acne?

I'm 14 and had perfectly clear skin up until a couple months ago where I started getting pretty bad acne, not cystic or anything but a lot of small red bumps mostly on my forehead, some on my cheeks and also little colorless bumps on my forehead and some on my cheeks. What are these bumps? And how do I get rid of them? I thought they might be from makeup since I occasionally wear bb cream to try and cover my pimples. I'm so self conscious about it, do you have any tips for getting rid of mild acne (it's getting worse)? And my question, can people with normal skin get acne like this? My skin is not oily or dry, so what could be the cause of all my acne? Thanks so much

  • Could Cetaphil face moisturizer have made me break out?

Hi I'm 14 and just started getting a lot more acne. Before when my skin used to be clear, I used Cetaphil face moisturizing lotion which worked really well for me (well I had no skin problems anyway). Then when it ran out I used Pond's dry skin cream for a while but when my skin started getting bad (mostly small red forehead pimples, and A LOT) I decided to try Cetaphil again since I know its a gentle brand. I got it 3 days ago and since then I have gotten tiny colorless bumps all over one of my cheeks and some at the bottom near my jawline of my other cheek. This is really weird because I thought Cetaphil was noncomedogenic. Does this mean anything?? I really really hate these tiny bumps they're not that noticeable except under natural or fluorescent light and looks TERRIBLE under makeup. I just want my face to me smooth and clear again! So if possible please answer as many of these questions as you can:

Could a noncomedogenic moisturizer have made me break out in the tiny bumps?

How can I prevent future acne?

How can I get rid of the tiny bumps quickly?

What is a good moisturizer for me to use if the Cetaphil isn't good for me anymore? (I have pretty normal skin but still get acne. So I guess it is kind of oily or combination as well)

    Thank you so much!

  • How to motivate myself to keep playing volleyball?

I just got on the varsity team as a freshman (high school). I've only been playing since seventh grade. I'm a setter. I really enjoy playing but the varsity coach is very tough, he makes us do a lot of conditioning and expects a lot from me as a setter. He almost didn't let me on the team because I wasn't being as "coachable" as I should've been. (Any tips on being more coachable??) Anyway I want to keep playing and get better but sometimes its hard to motivate myself to go to practice for hours, work hard and give it my all. Please give any tips you have (also about playing on varsity in high school). Finally if you have any advice on being a setter or how to be a better setter, please say that too! Thank you

  • Why does my heel hurt after/during running?

ok so a couple weeks ago i had volleyball camp for a week and towards the end of it i started getting slight pain in my heel while running and even walking, putting weight on it. mostly when my heel would go up while walking/running. i rested for a while after and recently started running again. it hurts a little while i run but mostly hurts after. i was walking around after running and it hurt. i tried running again and mostly the same thing happened. the pain usually gets better through the day. the thing is, i am going to a sleepaway sports camp a week from now and i need my heel not to hurt while i run! what can i do? stretches, ice it, etc? what might this be from and how can i prevent it? i also have pre-season tryouts for volleyball in around 1.5 months and i have to be better by then. PLEASE HELP! my heel needs to get better! thanks!

  • How to prevent acne?? HELP?

i'm 13 and going into 9th grade in the fall. my sister is 2 years older than me and had really bad acne for around 1.5 years, now it is moderate to low. i had really clear, nice skin up until a couple months ago where i got a couple pimples here and there. suddenly i have really bumpy, uneven skin. there are a couple small pimples but most of the bumps aren't as noticeable because they're not very red but they still make my skin look very uneven. sorry, this is kind of hard to explain. anyway it really bothers me and i think its only getting worse. by the way, my sister started getting bad acne the summer going into 9th grade. does that mean i will be the same? please, give me any tips about getting clear, smooth skin? any good products or diy remedies or things to eat/not to eat or anything! i really want clear skin. thanks :)

  • When do you think i'll get my first period? GIRLS ONLY?

I'm 13 and i am getting some first period signs and I was wondering if someone might be able to tell by things i'll tell you.

i've been having the white/clear discharge for around 5-6 months now, i have pretty much full grown pubic hair, some underarm air, but barely any breast development just kind of breast buds but i dont even know if they are that yet. i also have been getting cramps under my belly button every once in a while but they only last a couple minutes. yesterday i had a pain in my lower back and the day before the pain was in the part of my stomach under my belly button.

i want to know an estimate because i don't want to be completely unprepared. I'm nervous to get it. does it hurt? is it hard to put in a tampon? how do you know if you got your first one??

    thanks so much!!

also, my mom got hers around 13-14 yrs and my sister is 15 with still no period. will that mean I might not get mine until i'm her age?? is it possible that i'll get it before her

    THANKS

  • What do sore muscles mean?

  • advice on a crush?

i'm in 8th grade and i just started liking this guy who i've known for a while, he's really really funny and makes everyone laugh so hard because hes weird in a funny way. he's really good looking and nice and i have 2 classes with him. we talk occasionally but sometimes i feel like he likes me (like as a friend) and sometimes i feel like he doesn't at all. like sometimes he talks to me a lot and sits next to me in class and sometimes he kind of acts like i'm not even there, i don't know if he's unobservant or what lol. i'm probably just really overthinking it but what should i do to become better friends with him?? i don't want to seem like i like him so i don't want to talk to him or text him too much he would probably get annoyed. but also school is ending really soon what should i do? thanksss!

  • can i get my period even without 2 years of breast development?

i'm 13 and i think i just recently started breast development... but i heard usually you get your period 2 years after your breasts started growing. but i've been having a lot of signs like i've had white discharge for maybe 5-6 months, cramps every now and then, mood swings, and a couple days ago i woke up and i had A LOT of discharge. that's never happened before, it usually happens when i'm walking or running. anyway CAN you get your period before 2 years of breast development? i only have breast buds but i feel like my period is coming soon! and if you want, share your first period story! much appreciated thank you :)

  • Are these breast buds?

ok i'm 13 and i think i might have breast buds but i can't tell. i haven't had really any breast development yet but really recently i have noticed some things. like under one of my nipples there is a hard lump kind of around it or behind it. but the breast hasn't really risen up or anything. one of the lumps is bigger/more noticeable than the other. it hurts if i touch them too. are these breast buds because they don't look much bigger than they did before?

on average how long do breast buds last before they become real breasts?

    thanks!!

  • how to prevent more acne from coming?

ok so i'm 13 and my sister is 16 and she had really bad acne around my age and now it has gotten better for her. I had really nice clear skin up until a couple months ago and i started getting a couple small red pimples here and there. usually they go away in a few days if i put this acne cream on it and leave it overnight. i also started using the neutrogena oil-free acne wash in grapefruit but i dont think its working. can you recommend any good cleansers for preventing acne? right now i have two small but very red pimples near my forehead mostly in between my eyebrows. they've been there for like a week and won't go away. it's really embarrassing and i don't want my acne to get worse. so how can i prevent it from doing so? please please help! by the way i wash my face 2x a day and i try not to touch it a lot. basically how can i prevent more acne, and what are good cleansers/treatments to use? thank you!

I think I might because there are plaque spots on a couple of my teeth, it looks like a white line. Will the orthodontist/dentist be able to get rid of this after my braces?? I took good care of them, but this still happened. please help. Also, what is the procedure of getting them off? (or what to expect during that appointment) Thank you!
