What cigars would you recommend for a beginner?
I'm looking to take up cigar smoking as a hobby. The idea fascinates me. I've had a few so far, but they were just cheap ones. AKA Black and Mild, Dutch Masters, White Owl, etc.
I'm going to a smoke shop at my local Native American reservation (tax free!) soon and I would like some ideas as for what to get. Yes I plan on getting a humidor.

Smoking is not a hobby, it's a habit. Ask for recommendations from the smoke shop owner, he'll know his stock. Buy fresh.

I would recommend camels for a begginer. Not too harsh and they give a good buzz.

a hobby that can give you, mouth, throat, tongue, lung cancer....stomach, esophagus, tonsil, cancer....
not to mention it stinks.
